Here is the finished quilt with trees, salmon and deer appliqued on.  The machine thread embroidery was added before the top was quilted. This quilt has a lot to see in the details.  There are birds in some of the sky squares, ducks and geese in the river bank squares, deer in the woods, and glittery coho salmon travelling upstream.  There are three eagles in various positions, in the sky, in a tree, and perched on a tree stump.  There are cabins and fences in the pasture areas.  There are many memories of my life on the Enumclaw plateau in this quilt.  The foothills and Mt. Rainier dominate the landscape.  It's a wonderful place. Run your mouse over the picture for some closeup details.
